ABSTRACT

To analyze the causes and treatments of high intraocular pressure ( > 21mmHg ) of angle - closure glaucoma underwent compound trabeculectomy 1mo after surgery. ●METHODS: This was a retrospective study of our hospital, from March 2010 to March 2013. Thirty-four (38 eyes) of angle-closure glaucoma patients were collected, who underwent compound trabeculectomy with high intraocular pressure ( > 21mmHg) 1mo after operation. We analyzed the causes and summarized the treatments. ●RESULTS:The causes which lead to early postoperative high intraocular pressure included malignant glaucoma (9 eyes of 8 cases), blood clot and connective tissue block under the scleral flap (15 eyes of 13 cases), hyphema after surgery(5 eyes of 5 cases), sclera flap incision was incarcerated with iris tissue ( 3 eyes of 3 cases ), preoperative high intraocular pressure for a long time(5 eyes of 4 cases), 1 eye of 1 case for unknown reason. After proper treatments, intraocular pressures of all patients were bellowed 21mmHg. ● CONCLUSlON: Early postoperative high intraocular pressure of angle - closure glaucoma underwent compound trabeculectomy is caused by various factors, and the early prevention and timely treatment are key points of a successful operation.

ABSTRACT

Background: Plant cell suspension culture of Vitis vinifera is a promising technology for investigating different factors that are able to induce and/or modify stilbenes biosynthesis. Jasmonates have been reported to play an important role in a signal transduction pathway that regulates defence responses as well as the production of secondary metabolites. In this study, 2, 3-dihydroxypropyl jasmonate (DHPJA) was used to investigate its effect on stimulating trans-resveratrol (t-R) accumulation and the plant defence responses in Vitis vinifera cv. Kyoho cell suspension cultures for the first time. Results: It demonstrated that DHPJA had superior effects on stilbenoids accumulation over methyl jasmonate (MeJA). The optimal condition was 150 uM DHPJA added on day 15 of cultivation period, with the highest level of t-R accumulation which was increased 1.8-fold and 1.3-fold compared with the control and 150 uM MeJA respectively. DHPJA induced stronger plant defence responses, including oxidative burst and activation of L-phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL) than MeJA. H2O2 generation induced by DHPJA played a significant role in enhancing t-R accumulation. Adding a specific inhibitor of H2O2 signalling pathway inhibited DHPJA-induced t-R accumulation, but had no effects on DHPJA-induced other metabolites accumulation, which resulted in regulations of product diversity. Conclusions: This study demonstrated that DHPJA was an efficient elicitor to enhance t-R accumulation by activating stronger oxidative burst, and H2O2 signalling pathway could regulate product diversity in DHPJA-induced V. vinifera cv. Kyoho cell suspension cultures.

ABSTRACT

Objective Analyzing the distribution of 1476 strains of clinical common pathogens and their antimicrobial resistance, provide reference the reasonable use of antimicrobial drugs for clinical. Methods Using BD company PHOEIX-100 Automatic Pathogen Identification to Pathogen identify 1476 strains of pathogens which were got from the various isolated and cultivated samples which were examined from 2009 January to 2010 August and its antibacterial Drug Susceptibility Test, then with WHONET5. 3 system to analyze monitoring data of the pathogen distribution and resistance. Results In 1476 strains of pathogens isolated, gram-negative bacteria had 1206 strains occupying 81.7% ; Gram-positive cocci had 270 stains occupying 18. 3%. The most common detected pathogen were Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae,Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which accounted for 20. 2% ,17. 5% ,13. 2% ,11.4%.The ESBLs producing E. coli and K. pneumoniae accounted for 65. 9% ,48. 1% ; Also methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) accounted for 79. 2% and methicillin-resistant coagulase-negative staphylococci (MRCNS) accounted for 68.4%. It isnt found yet that grape genus to vancomycin, nitrofurantoin can resist drug.Gram-negative bacilli to antimicrobial vinyl hydrocarbon mold degree of sensitivity is high. Conclusion The isolated pathogen's resistance of drug is widespread. It is important to guide clinical reasonable use of antibiotics and control infectious pathogens that carry out continuous monitoring of drug resistance.

ABSTRACT

BACKGROUNDTo clarify the features of gene variation among epidemic strains of human rotavirus NSP4 in China.

METHODSSP4 genes from 27 epidemic strains of human rotavirus isolated in different area of China in recent years were amplified with RT-PCR, the resulted cDNAs were cloned and sequenced. The sequences of full length cDNAs were compared with 10 rotavirus NSP4 sequences available in the GenBank using the Clustal x 1.8 TreeView32 and DNA Star softwares. The G serotype of VP7 was analysed by PCR.

RESULTSThe homology of the amino acid among the 27 rotavirus strains isolated in China was 81.7%-99.4%. Based on the variation of amino acid sequence, the virus strains can be divided into two groups, represented by Wa and KUN with the homology of 92.0%-99.4% and 92.0%-98.9% within each group, respectively. The diversity between the two groups were 16.6%-21.0%. The Wa group could further be separated into three subgroups, according to the diversity between those strains and the characterization in the highly variable domain. The association between VP7 serotype and NSP4 genotype was not strong.

CONCLUSIONSThe NSP4 gene of human rotavirus epidemic strains in China can be divided into Wa and KUN two groups, Wa group is the main group and contains three subgroups possessing characteristic amino acid sites. Samples isolated in the same year but not in the same area shared higher homology.
